GVK Airport Holdings Private Limited to do partnership with Changi Airport Singapore

Latest News!!! Singapore’s Changi Airports International , which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Changi Airport Group will do partnership with GVK Airport Holdings Private Limited. According to the sources, the latter will get Rs 2000-2200 crore for the 26 percent stake.

The GVK Airport Holdings Private Limited is in Hyderabad, India and the Changi Airport Group has decided to buy the stake just before the bidding that was scheduled to happen for the new airport for Mumbai and in order to cater the Mumbai’s traffic.

The announcement of this deal will be made when it is finalized and it is likely to be in January 2012.

The advantages of this deal for GVK will be

  • GVK will get to work with powerful Changi Airport Group
  • The new airport that will be made in  Mumbai will help to adjust and lighten the heavy traffic in the existing Mumbai’s airport.

Marine Bay – Destination for New Year 2012 wishes

The great initiative taken by different Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs)’s 160 participants who came to Marine Bay on 20th December 2011 and made wishes for the coming New Year 2012.The VWOs that participated include the Moral Seniors Activity Centres and Hougang Sheng Student Care Centre.

There were 20,000 special wishing spheres that were launched in Marine Bay. These 160 participants include both young and old people. Old people wished for good health and young ones wished for good scores and grades.

Marine Bay is chosen for making NEW YEAR wishes as it is also known as Bay of HOPE and LIGHT. The 20,000 wishing spheres has got the wishes for 5,00,000 Singaporeans and hence these wishing spheres will be afloat in Marine Bay in order to have awesome and creative visual arts display.

Also there will be an annual event at the end of December 2011, which is a part of Esplanade’s community engagement programme and will be for Marina Bay Singapore Countdown.

The winner is Orchard Central that got the title of “Best Dressed Building Contest”. This contest was organized by Orchard Road Business Association. The other three winners of this contest were Tanglin Mall, ION Orchard and TANGS@Tang Plaza. All these were awarded for their as they got succeeded in creating a greener Christmas.

Orchard Central (OC) was successful in their decorations and was able to impress the judges. OC use the combination of pink and black that was very unique. Also the shopping center as its has made a great Christmas tree and that too with 850 recycled Pink Dolphin bottles.
