Din Tai Fung (Marine Bay Link Mall)

Located in the bustling, classy ambience of Marine Bay Link Mall at 8 A Boulevard, Din Tai Fung is a legacy in itself. With 12 branches in Singapore alone and many more sprawled across Asia, this fine dining restaurant takes Taiwanese Cuisine to the next level. One can expect a world class dining experience, thanks to the sophisticated ambience and friendly service. Whether you are a local or a foreigner, Din Tai Fung makes sure that you are comfortable and content until you are done with your splendid meal.

Although a world renowned brand today, Din Tai Fung had an extremely humble beginning. It started out as a whole sale oil shop when the founder Bingyi Tang was unemployed after his workplace went out of business. However, even this business did not last long, thanks to the availability of tinned oil. It was all in good fortune, of course, because Bingyi and his wife decided to sell steamed dumplings instead. The unique taste and flavor of this dumpling attracted many customers and Din Tai Fung was converted into a restaurant. The rest, as they say, is history!

The restaurant, till date, is known for its delicious, melt-in-your-mouth pork dumplings or Xiao long baos. The warm and delicate steamed chicken soup is also a great way to start your meal. Din Tai Fung serves possibly the best Taiwanese cuisine in Singapore. Of course, the restaurant ensures that their staff comprises of extremely skilled individuals through continuous training. In 2003, for instance, the chefs and the frontline crew underwent a four months intensive training in Taiwan to understand all the fine nuances of the quality that Din Tai Fung seeks to achieve. This was just one of the many steps that this restaurant has taken to create an international brand that promises the best to its customers. The food is, no doubt, the best in quality, fresh and yet simple to suit every palette.
