Singapore has more than made up for its paucity of natural resources. It is one of the smallest countries in the world but has a burgeoning economy that is many times larger than most nations throughout the world. The citizens of Singapore are its main resource pool, and therefore successive governments, since the nation became independent, have accorded a high degree of importance to education.
Singapore, today, enjoys, one of the highest literacy rates because all its citizens get unlimited opportunities for education right from the elementary to the doctoral level. There are many schools, colleges, and universities in Singapore that offer quality education. The scenario of international education in Singapore is equally promising. Many parents including both the local residents and those living aboard send their wards to Singapore for completing their secondary and higher education in this tiny island nation, as many academic institutions that have branches throughout the world also have chapters in Singapore.
