There are sky bridges found on every floor to link the two blocks. There are two libraries located within the building. The Central Lending Library lies in the Basement 1 while the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library is located in the levels 7to 13.
The Central Lending Library covers an area of 6407 square meters and houses a collection of more than 200,000 books. The largest collection of fiction books in the island can be found in the Central Lending Library. One can even come across a wide collection of magazines and newspapers. The collection of books also comprise of Chinese, Malay and Tamil books. The new name of National Reference Library is The Lee Kong Chian Reference Library. The library covers an area of 14,265 square meters and features a wide collection of 530,000 print and non-print materials. The library offers ample of facilities to live up to the expectations of the people. Singapore National Library is also a home to the Drama Center from levels 2 to 5. The National Arts Council manages the Drama Center. The Center features 615 plush seats and good acoustics. The audiences are sure to gain a comfortable and unique experience. The VIP lounge of the center is equipped with exclusive facilities to host public functions, seminars and meetings. The Pod is a closed viewing point located on the 16th floor and offers a panoramic view of the island.
