Presently, there are two public universities in the country as well as a handful of private universities. Increasing number of locals as well as overseas students are opting these universities for various courses. Even doctoral programs are being by these universities.
Universities in Singapore
Singapore boasts of a well developed higher education system. There are three full-fledged public universities in the country—the National University of Singapore, Nan yang Technological University and Singapore Management University. Few private universities are also there in the country.
National University of Singapore (NUS)
This is top rated university in Asia. It takes a global approach to education and research with prime focus on Asia. Various multi disciplinary programs and doctoral courses are offered by NUS. Facilities in the university include dining, university health center, security and many other things.
Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
This is an institute with international reputation. The education imparted by this university encompasses science & technology, entrepreneurial & leadership, business & arts to the students so that they can compete in the international arena. The university has twelve schools categorized under four collages viz. Nanyang Business School (College of Business), College of Engineering, College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences and College of Science. Various undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs and even doctoral programs are offered by NTU.

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
