As foreign firms are found in almost all sectors of the economy, Singapore is home to many expatriates. These expatriates are mostly American, British, Canadian, French, and German citizens who come to reside in Singapore for setting up business ventures. As Singapore provides ample business opportunities and has a unique culture, many expatriates become permanent residents.
