The IT Company, Acer Computer Singapore Private Limited or the ACS was founded on the 29th of November, 1990. The Acer Computer Singapore Private Limited oversees the sales, marketing and servicing of the Acer products in the country. Since its inception, the Acer Computer Singapore Private Limited has formed a network of distributors who supplies Acer products to the business houses and residences in Singapore.
Acer has brought up a customer care infrastructure known as the AcerCare, consisting of customer care officials and a website, named the AcerCare for ensuring total satisfaction of its customers worldwide. In the year 2006, Acer got the 'Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Gold Award'.

For its superb design, the Acer E500 Desktop was handed out the Red Dot Design Award the most coveted prize for design in 2006.
The Reader's Digest carried out a Superbrand survey in 2006 and in this survey Acer won the computer Superbrand Gold in the whole of Asia for the seventh straight year.
In 2006, the Acer Ferrari 4000 series from the Acer stable received the CNET Asia Readers' Choice Awards in the 'notebooks' category.
The Acer notebook named the Acer TravelMate 8204WLMi won the PC Magazine Singapore Editor's Choice award in the year 2005.
