It was only after the advent of independence that literature of Singapore witnessed the arrival of fiction writing. Short stories were then the most flourishing form of literary art and it was long after that novels made an entry into the world of literature in Singapore. The novelists of Singapore are unique and special in their own way and offer the readers a glimpse of the special aspects of Singaporean social life. Our site focussingapore offers detailed information about novelists of Singapore.

Goh Poh Seng is considered to be the pioneer of novel writing in Singapore. Two of his finest productions If We Dream Too Long (1972) and A Dance of Moths are very popular among the readers of Singapore.
