Carrying a Pet out of Singapore

Singapore follows certain rules for carrying a pet out of Singapore. For the exportation of pets, an Export Permit from the Agri- Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) must be produced and the permit must be obtained within 30 days before the actual export date. For carrying a pet out of Singapore a valid Singapore dog license should be presented to the Agri-food and Veterinary Authority for the issuing of Export Permit. Export Permits retain its validity for 30 days from the date of issue.

You need to pay a certain amount of fine for obtaining the permit within less than two working days. Otherwise, the formalities for carrying a pet out of Singapore get completed by two days after the above mentioned documents are submitted along with the application.
The following documents are to be produced for carrying a pet out of Singapore:
Health Certificate:
For carrying your pet out of Singapore, an original certificate, declaring "the pet is healthy and

free from any contagious or infectious disease at the time of examination"is a must and that needs to be obtained from a recognized private or government veterinarian. This declaration should be issued within 7 days before the actual date of export.
Vaccination Card:
The owner of the pet has to produce a vaccination certificate assuring that all the necessary vaccinations including rabies vaccine have been given to the pet. Dog License:
A dog license is required for carrying a pet out of Singapore issued by the Agri-food and Veterinary Authority.
Export Permit:
An Export Permit issued by the AVA is perhaps the most important document that an owner should carry for taking a pet out of Singapore.
