| Singapore Business Federation Act 2001
The Act legislates the formation of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) as the new apex body of the business community in Singapore. It addresses the composition of the SBF Council, the criteria for compulsory membership of companies, as well as payment of subscriptions by larger companies.
Singapore Business Federation (Exemption) Order
1) Any local company or foreign company which satisfies the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule shall be exempted from section 5 (1) of the Act for the year specified in the second column of the Schedule.
2) For the purposes of satisfying the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule, the local company or foreign company shall submit to the Council -
a) a declaration by any of its directors in such form as the Council may require stating that it did not or does not have any employee during that period; and
b) such other documents as the Council may require.
