Another patient centric hospital with a holistic approach, the hospital serves as center for communicable disease, foot disease, limb design. It also functions as a referral center for general surgery, ear, nose and throat diseases, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, emergency medicine, diagnostic radiology, geriatric medicine, rehabilitation medicine, respiratory medicine, rheumatology, infectious diseases etc. Its role in treatment of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2003 is highly appreciated.
