Changi General Hospital was built to serve the healthcare needs of the community living east of the Kallang Basin. It was an amalgamation of the Toa Payoh Hospital and the Changi Hospital.
This hospital is well equipped with modern technology such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Spiral Computed Tomography (CT) Scan and Cardiac Catheterisation. There are labour saving technologies, which maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency. These include Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), Pneumatic Tube and Pneumatic Chute Systems.
