The National University Hospital opened in 1985 as the first restructured hospital in Singapore. Since its inception, the NUH has grown to become an acute-care, tertiary hospital. Being the only university hospital in Singapore, NUH is at the forefront of clinical research, which will take patients through advanced treatment or therapy that is made available. The hospital collaborates with and is a clinical and research base for the medical and dental faculties of the National University of Singapore.
