The North General Hospital is housed in colonial style buildings and has 400-bed capacity and well planned garden which grows 500 plant species and over 100 butterfly species in the butterfly trail. Restructuring of the Northern General Hospital took place on 1st October 2000 leading to it becoming a member of the National Healthcare Group
