If you intend to drive your own vehicle in Singapore then you have to possess a valid driving license. When collecting the PDL one has to show the identity card and the result slip of the Basic Driving Theory Test. With a PDL one can take driving lessons on the road under the guidance of an authorized instructor. An eye test is conducted during the application time for PDL. A PDL is valid for six months only.Next one has to appear for the Final Driving Theory Test and after that for a Practical Driving Test. The Practical Driving Test has to be cleared within two years of qualifying the Final Driving Theory Test. To apply for Final Driving Theory Test one has to produce his or her identity card, PDL and the Final Driving Theory Test's result slip.

For obtaining Class 2B Riding License one has to sit for the Motorcycle Riding Theory Test and the Practical Riding Test.
