St. Alphonsus from Naples founded a missionary congregation of Redemptorists, who formed an apostolic community in Singapore. They decided to build a church to spread the good news of God's love and purchased land from a Chinese businessman for that purpose.
Thus the Novena Church was built in 1950. The Redemptorist services include catechetics, home administration, missions, counselors, school retreats and youth apostolates.
