The Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniam Temple was built in the 1960's when a group of Hindu workers at a Naval Base accidentally came upon an anthill under the Elantha tree. |

| The workers then requested permission of their British Commanding Officer to built a temple and the Officer approved. The temple was recently relocated from Canberra Road to the Yishun Industrial Park. |
