The construction of Al-Mukminin Mosque began in 1984 and after its completion 3 years later, Dr Ahmad Mohammed Mattar, who was the Minister in charge of Muslim Affairs at that time, officially opened the Mosque in 1987. The services undertaken by the staff at Al-Mukminin Mosque include Kindergarten, Madrasah, Adult, Youth and Haj/Umrah classes and Zakat. The mosque also has a football team and its facilities include a prayer hall, multi-purpose hall and library.
