The Al-Muttaqin Mosque was built in 1980 and was officially opened by then MP of Geylang Serai, Mr. Rahmat Kenap. The Mosque caters to the Muslims living in the central area of Singapore as it is situated there. The Mosque conducts daily prayers and serves as a Centre for Information, Education and Zakat (Charity). The mosque also offers a homeopathy welfare clinic and conducts talks on Healthy Living.
