Before the Japanese occupation of Singapore in 1942, the Changi Prison was home to serious criminal offenders. But after the fall of Singapore, the Japanese military used it as a prisoner of war camp and jailed POWs and civilians. The Changi Prison bears witness to the war crimes conducted by the Japanese on innocent civilians and POWs. |
