Boat Quay is a historical quay in Singapore. Three quarters of all shipping business were handled here during the 1860s. Today its role has shifted to that of tourism. The restored shop houses now host a motley mix of restaurants offering Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Italian and other international cuisine. There are also cafes, pubs, bars and karaoke lounges. Boat Quay is arguably the favorite place to chill out for most professionals and expatriates. |
