The Singapore Grand Prix is essentially a motor race in the calendar of FIA Formula One World Championship at present. At present, it is held at Marina Bay area in Singapore. The 2009 Singapore Grand Prix which will be held in September this year will be a part of Formula One Championship for the second time. 2008 Singapore Grand Prix was the first Formula One Championship held at night and was won by Fernando Alonso who was driving for Renault. The 2009 Singapore Grand Prix is the second Singapore Formula 1 Night Race.
Singapore Grand Prix recommends not bringing children who are less than 7 years old to watch Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix. This is due to operational and safety reasons. Children below seven years of age will be allowed only if the parent/guardian signs a letter of undertaking assuring that it will be his/her sole responsibility if her/she aspires to bring his/her children below seven years.
