About Canoeing in Singapore
In Singapore, the responsibility of developing and promoting canoeing vests with the Singapore Canoe Federation. It aims at making Singapore a suitable venue for organizing various regional as well as international canoeing championships. The ultimate objective of this Federation is to encourage and motivate the younger generation to get interested in this thrilling and attractive water sport which is also regarded as a recreational activity for the sports lovers.

The vast stretches of calm and crystal clear water make Singapore one of the sought after destinations for indulging in various adventurous sports like canoeing. There are many private operators located at Sentosa Island, Changi Point and East Coast Park offering hiring facilities for canoes. A single seater canoe costs anything between S$6 and S$10, whereas the cost of a double seater varies between S$8 and S$12.
