Singapore Adventure

This itinerary will be helpful to those who are looking for some adventure in the concrete jungle…

You can start first by visiting Underwater World, situated in Sentosa. Watch the prowling predators and other exotic ocean dwellers up close and personal. See the blacktip and whitetip sharks, eagle rays and big-belly seahorses that breed and thrive in the Underwater World.

If you have had enough of the fascinating experience at Underwater World, Also visit Holland Road , a rewarding destination! This bohemian enclave is a good place to hang out; there are restaurants where you can satisfy your palate with tasty local or continental meals and shop for Asian arts, crafts, antiques and handicrafts. Also visit the Holland Road Shopping Centre, where you can experience the lifestyle of locals and mingle with expatriates.

After eating and shopping, Jurong Birdpark is your next stop. The bird park has over 9,000 birds of 600 species, making it the largest and most impressive bird park in Asia Pacific. Check out the Penguin Parade, Waterfall Aviary, Riverine and Bird Shows featuring flamingos, macaws, hornbills, cockatoos and hawks in action.

After all that excitement you can relax by visiting Bugis Street, Singapore's largest permanent street bazaar where you can find unexpected bargains and interesting sights like the co-existence of a Buddhist and an Indian temple, side by side.

Once you've had enough of walking around, proceed to Clarke Quay for some sports…get your dose of adrenaline rush with the G-Max Reverse Bungy Jump. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you are flung up at great speeds and then jerked back down to earth. Not for the faint hearted…

If you still feel you have missed out on something, you are right! Come nighttime, head to Mandai Lake for a Night Safari - real jungle experience! Leave the tram ride and take the walking trail for some real adventure. Pass rhinos, crocs, striped hyenas and the tiger, all in open enclosures. Hear the night calls and feel your heart skip a beat!
