Located at Bukit Timah the satellite station started its operations in 1986. Bukit Timah Satellite Earth Station lies near the Chantek flyover that is nestled between Bukit Timah Expressway and Pan Island Expressway. Sing Tel being the owner of the station is entrusted with the duty of managing the working procedures. The construction of the building was started in the year 1983.

The satellite dishes of the station are taken to be a prominent sight for those passing through the nearby Bukit Timah Expressway. The Seletar Teleport is the second of the two satellite stations nestled in Singapore. The second satellite earth station in Singapore; Seletar Teleport is situated near the Lower Seletar Reservoir at Yio Chu Kang. Located opposite to the Seletar Expressway is also owned and managed by Singapore Telecommunications Limited.
