Every year, there are special highlights during Christmas time - in 2005, six three-dimensional animated songbirds were released from Christmas gift boxes situated at the Scotts Junction; sound shells were installed at several locations along Orchard Road to serenade passer-bys with Christmas carols and the world's tallest artificial Christmas tree with 11, 520 artificial pine leaves, 15,000 dazzling white fairy lights, 200 rope lights, and about 500 blinking strobes was created.
