  Singapore Arts Festival

The Singapore Arts Festival is a time to celebrate music, dance and theatre from around the world.   Singapore Food Festival

The Singapore food Festival held in the month of July is a time to get your tongues smacking as you savour the striking flavours of Singapore. A paradise for the perceptive palates it features the distinctive Singaporean cuisine and also local delights.
The tourists to Singapore can also expect to taste some complimentary delicacy from the tourism board in any of the participating restaurants at the time of this festival.

  Vertical Marathon

Test your speed and grit while climbing Southeast Asia's tallest Hotel 'Swissotel The Stamford'. The Vertical Marathon held in the month of November involves climbing the 1336 steps of the 73-storey hotel.

  Singapore International Film Festival

The Singapore International Film Festival started in 1987, is internationally renowned as a window to Asian and Southeast Asian films and filmmakers. Some of the Asia's best and upcoming talents are showcased in this festival featuring around 300 films from 45 countries. The SIFF introduced the Silver Screen Award Competition in 1991 to recognize the deserving talents and give them global exposure.
The SIFF also organizes exhibitions, seminars and workshops for students of filmmaking and future filmmakers.

  World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) Festival

Singapore plays host to the popular World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival, where the pulsating beats of world music infuse a colorful display of ethnic crafts and cuisine. Peter Gabriel, Thomas Brooman and Bob Hooten founded WOMAD in 1980. The central aim of the festival is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance.

The WOMAD festivals are family-oriented, miscellaneous and active musical events. Participatory workshops are organized to enable the audience to interact with visiting artists and learn about their music. Special educational and entertaining events are also organized for children.

Artists who have participated at the WOMAD festival include Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar, Peter Gabriel and Nina Simone.
