The Singapore Film Commission (SFC) was created in April 1998 to maintain and expand the budding Singapore film industry. The SFC has been a component of the Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore since 1 January 2003. The SFC is lead by 14 members chosen from both private and public sectors. The main intention behind the establishment of Singapore Film Commission is to look into different facets of the film industry and supply the appropriate support and services.
