The posting results, polytechnics and Institute of Tehnical Education will be released the posting results for junior colleges on Wednesday, Feb 5, at 8am. Applicants can check their results via the Joint Admissions Exercise-Internet SystemĀ or they will receive an SMS if they provide a mobile phone number during registration. Those under the Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise can go Applicants posted to a junior college (JC) or the Millennia Institute (MI) should report to these institutions on Thursday, Feb 6 at 7.30 am. EtonHouse International's E-Bridge Pre-school, Kinderland Consortium's Skool4Kidz, and Metropolitan YMCA's MY World Preschool have been appointed anchor operators under a scheme that requires them to keep fees affordable in return for government subsidies The first two are private operators, while the third is a non-profit organisation. The operators, which have been appointed for a tenure of five years, were the first to qualify for the expanded anchor operator scheme announced last year to include private players for the first time. The expanded scheme attracted 16 applications. Previously, the scheme was open only to non-profit organisations and the anchor operators were NTUC's My First Skool and the PAP Community Foundation. Singapore's private home prices fall 0.9% in Q4 2013
0.9 per cent fall in private home prices in the last three months of last year,the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said on Friday. The URA had estimated that private home prices fell 0.8 per cent in the fourth quarter last year, based on transactions in the first 10 weeks of the quarter.The URA had estimated earlier this month. The decline in home prices is the first in nearly two years and comes after prices rose 0.4 per cent in the third quarter of last year. Rents for private homes also sank in the fourth quarter, falling 0.5 per cent in their first decrease since 2009. Source :

Jurong Bird Park relaunches Waterfall Aviary with new viewing terrace
Waterfall Aviary in Jurong Bird Park is relaunched with new species of endangered birds and a viewing terrace for visitors and for private events.The aviary is home to at-risk sun conures from South America and common crowned pigeons from Papua.
