Hiring in Singapore will likely increase over the next few months, according to a new survey.More than 90 per cent of financial, commercial and information technology sectors are confident of growth this year.93 percent of economic expansion in the commercial sector as compared with78 per cent last year.About 92 per cent of technology sector executives were upbeat compared with 66 per cent last year, while 91 per cent of financial leaders expect expansion, up from 83 per cent last year. Budget airlines want leeway in 10-minute passenger check-in time limit
Low-cost travellers at Changi Airport would have to wait longer to check in than those who fly full-service carriers. some airlines do not care for Changi "10-minute rule". Travellers do not wait more than 10 minutes, from the time they join the queue, to check in is a standard set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Some budget airlines have asked the CAAS to let them bust that limit, arguing that they do not offer the same product and experience as full-service airlines. Source :

All 281 units of retirement resort sold out within hours
First housing project for retirees sold in few hours after its launch. All units at the project had been sold, at an average of $1,100 per sq ft (psf). Units range from 398 sq ft to 675 sq ft. Many were older home seekers, but plenty of younger buyers were also drawn by the relatively affordable prices at The Hillford, a mixed development marketed as a "retirement resort" by its developer, World Class Land. Singapore's exports up 6% in December
6 percent up in Singapore's exports up 6% in December in December from a year ago beacuse of an increase in shipments of non-electronic products. Electronic Nodx contracted by 3.1 per cent following the 8.9 per cent decline in the preceding month. The decrease was largely due to a fall in shipments of parts of PCs, disk drives and telecommunications equipment. Meanwhile, non-electronic Nodx grew by 10.6 per cent in December, reversing the 8.9 per cent decrease in the previous month. New home sales fall to lowest level in 5 years
New home sale plunged to the lowest level in 5 years.Last month only 259 units sold since January 2009 and a remarkable 80 per cent down on the 1,271 units snapped up in November. Last month sales wshic was 32.4 per cent lower than the 22,197 units sold in 2012, said the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) yesterday. Source :
