It is an excellent museum covering every aspect of Asia and its culture. It has some fascinating multimedia displays about Singaporean history and Asian Civilizations. The history of the region and its interrelated influences of the various religions such as Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism are depicted in the South East Asia gallery. Here you will find Islamic Calligraphy and art, SriLankan figurine of Buddha and tribal woodcarvings. Chinese relics, paintings, jades, bronzes, ceramics dominate the museum.
