Singapore is well linked with almost all the major countries through air. The Changi International Airport in Singapore is highly reputed for its quality maintenance and efficiency, also providing facilities such as shops, restaurants, cinema halls and meditation centers. It is about 20 km or 12 minutes from the city center. The Airport has two top-notch terminals, and handles traffic from approximately 53 countries and operates flights to almost 160 cities. Having won over 250 awards, Singapore Changi Airport is acknowledged as one of the finest airports in the world. With 80 airlines servicing more than 180 cities in over 50 countries, Changi airport has established itself as a major aviation hub in the Asia Pacific region, by setting an unprecedented example in quality air passenger service.
Visitors to Singapore cannot miss the sprawling elegance of this world-class airport, which impresses passengers on arrival itself, from the very moment they touch down. Changi airport is an icon and leaves an indelible impression on the minds of each and every visitor, who may either be coming to Singapore for business or pleasure or maybe in transit. From the airport, tourists may avail of either taxis or the MRT to enter the beautiful island city-state of Singapore. Besides Changi offers five star class services to its passengers. These include:

  Business Centres in both terminals
  Internet Centres in both terminals
  PC connection points and wireless Internet access services in both terminals
  Fitness centre in Terminal 1
  A rooftop swimming pool and Jacuzzi in Terminal 1
  Ramps, elevators, specially designed toilets and telephones for disabled people

Ten airlines currently operate from Terminal 2. They are Air Canada, Air France, Air New Zealand, Lufthansa Airlines, American Airlines, Silkair, Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. All other carriers operate from Terminal 1.The Airport has a Plaza Lounge for the recreation of the passengers making a brief stop at this Airport. The Airport also offers a free city tour for these passengers of the major sights and interests in the city. Soon a third Terminal will be in operation, further smoothening travel logistics at Singapore Changi Airport. When terminal 3 begins its operations in 2008, Changi Airport will have an annual handling capacity of more than 64 million passengers.

The Airfare will also include the $21, charged by the Changi Airport as the Airport Departure Tax or the Passenger Service Tax.
